The "pity pretty's".....You know what really grinds my gears? The "pity pretty's". What are "pitty pretty's"? It's like when you say something along the lines of "She's way cutter than me" and a friend or boyfriend goes "Naw hun, you're wayyyy hotter". It's when your friends feel as if they have to say "you're hot" to make you feel better, when really it's a pity compliment. Whether or not you're fishing for compliments (shame on you for that!).
A lot of the time, I don't like pity pretty's, because I can usually tell the difference between a sincere "you're hot" and a "I have to say your hot to make you feel better"
